Mortgage Agent Course
Thinking of becoming a Licensed Mortgage Agent? Your first step is to successfully complete Mortgage Agent Licensing Course, which has been approved by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. Your next step is to be hired by a brokerage as a licensed mortgage agent.
Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) has approved four program providers (college/institutions) for mortgage agent education programs for licensing purposes. Programs are provided commercially, and tuition fees are set by each program provider. All of these programs were developed using the same curriculum.
This Course is offered in different formats. However, all of these approved programs include a course of study followed by a final examination.
- Classroom Format: Choice of (i) one Week, (ii) two weekends, (iii) 5 Saturdays/Sundays or (iv) part-time (42 hours) in community college members of OntarioLearn in class and examination is held on the last day.
- Online Format: Study at your own pace. You have six (6) months to complete the course and write an in-person examination.
- Correspondence Format: Study at your own pace. You have six (6) months to complete the course and write an in-person examination.
- Combination Format: Combination of in class and self-study. Write an in-person examination.
